Heraklion, Crete, 1973
She grew up in Crete and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, from which she graduated in 2012. In 2010 her work was selected for the Italian National Competition ‟Premio Nazionale delle Arti”. That same year she was also represented at the Festival Creatività in Florence. In recent years, she has divided her time between Greece and Italy. A visual artist working in collage and installation, her earlier works featured compositions with faces and figures. Her most recent work inscribes itself into space through installation. She mainly uses paper, along with other materials, to explore concepts such as matter, corporeality, and the decay of existence. Her first solo exhibition was hosted at the Contemporary Balkan Art Gallery of Kontias (2011), followed by another solo at ‟Penguin Café” in Naples. Since then, she has developed an active exhibition career in Greece and abroad (mainly Italy), presenting her work in solo shows and participating in group exhibitions. Notable recent solos include: ‟Sarca” (EGIIDON 31 art space, Athens, 2021), ‟Sarca II” (Open-Air Water Power Museum, Piraeus Bank Cultural Foundation, Dimitsana, 2023), and ‟Somatica” (Vicolo al Leon d’Oro, Parma, 2022–23).
