Tirana, 1977
Son of Vlash Prifti, he studied painting at the University of Arts of Tirana (graduated in 1995). After graduation, he worked as a designer in a private Albanian television channel. Today he lives and works in Tirana as a designer in a private studio. His painting draws on his background in graphic arts. He employs corporate logos and recognizable, everyday objects, removed from their original context and projected against unified, abstract, expressionist zones of pure color. In this way, he adopts an approach akin to American Pop Art and advertising, to comment on contemporary capitalist society through essentially allegorical compositions.
