Pedino, Lemnos, 1954
He studied economics, while in painting he is self-taught. He lives and works in Thessaloniki. His first public appearance was in a group exhibition at Gallery Lava in Thessaloniki in 1995. Since then, he has worked systematically in painting while also maintaining his own textile printing business. He began as a draftsman in charcoal, but eventually turned to oil painting. He has developed a personal style of layered application of pigment, giving his works a relieflike structure. His drawing is precise, while his color, laid with great care, cultivates a sense of decay and melancholy. His style is photorealist, and his subjects are primarily landscapes and the human figure. At times he employs symbolism, creating allegorical compositions with a distinctive decorative character. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in Greece (especially in Thessaloniki and Lemnos). Most recently, he presented a solo show in the context of the 8th International Contemporary Art Fair of Thessaloniki (‟Art_Thessaloniki”, 2025). He has also participated in group exhibitions in various Greek cities.
