She initially studied painting under Vrasidas Vlachopoulos (1969\u20131972) and later studied painting and sculpture at the \u00c9cole des Beaux-Arts in Paris (1972\u20131976). She also obtained a Licence in Visual Arts from the University of Paris VIII. She continued her studies in aesthetics and received both an MA and a PhD in Philosophy of Art from the University of Paris I. Upon returning to Greece, she worked as an Art teacher in secondary education and later became Professor of Aesthetic Education at the University of Athens. Today she is Emeritus Professor at the NKUA. Her work is figurative. Thematically, she is concerned with landscape, interiors, and compositions where the human figure takes center stage. She places particular emphasis on the depiction of urban space (caf\u00e9s, street scenes, etc.). Her style draws primarily from Expressionism and is characterized by simplification and stylization of drawing, and bright, vivid colors. At times (such as in the \u201fNocturnes\u201d series) she explores the rendering of a lyrical, transcendental atmosphere. She has presented her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Her first solo exhibition was held at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus in 1966. Exhibitions followed in Paris, Athens, and other Greek cities. Her most recent solo exhibition, \u201fTransition\u201d, was organized in 2018 at the Museum of the City of Athens.
