He studied poster design at the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, under Alexander Poplilov and Dimitar Serezliev, graduating in 1979. He was then appointed lecturer in Graphic Design at the School of Fine Arts, University of Applied Sciences Sts. Cyril and Methodius, Veliko Tarnovo. In 1988, he pursued postgraduate studies at the Institute of Applied Arts in Lviv, Ukraine. He co-founded \u201fSpectrum,\u201d the first private art gallery in Veliko Tarnovo. In 1998, he was elected associate professor of Graphic Design. He held many administrative positions, including Head of the Department of Graphic and Visual Communication, member of the Academic Council, Deputy Dean of the School of Fine Arts, and Chair of the Artistic Council. A figurative painter, he was influenced by Byzantine art. His drawing was simplified, his colors flat, bright, and luminous. His compositions, often recalling graphic design, were distinguished by clear structure, decorative qualities, and explicit symbolism. Much of his creativity was dedicated to applied graphics: he designed logos, worked in advertising, book and poster design, websites, and interior decoration. He presented his work in 18 solo exhibitions and participated in many group shows in Bulgaria and abroad. His works are in major Bulgarian galleries and private collect ions.
