In 1962 he worked as a ceramics designer at the Tirana porcelain factory. From 1969\u20131973 he studied at the Higher Institute of Arts (today the University of Arts of Tirana), specializing in Graphic Arts. Upon graduation, he was appointed lecturer in the Graphics Laboratory, later becoming a professor. Together with Professor Pandi Mele, he played a decisive role in its development. He also taught in the laboratories of Ceramics Technology, and authored the monograph \u201fThe Techniques of Artistic Engraving\u201d. Today he is regarded as one of the significant representatives of graphic arts (especially in the field of artistic poster design) in the late creative period of the Balkan socialist countries. Already from the 1960s, his activity extended beyond painting and engraving into applied arts: decorative ceramics, graphic design, and more. His early prints (woodcuts and linocuts), inspired by the life of peasants and ordinary people, reflect the spirit of Socialist Realism. Executed mainly in black-and-white, they also show influences from Japonism and the decorative quality of French Symbolism. His posters clearly served the ideals of socialist art. His later work, after 1989, took a freer course. His paintings, mostly landscapes, are executed with a free hand and rich, anti-realist colors. In his graphic design, plant motifs dominate. His reliefs and ceramics were influenced by Byzantine and folk art. He exhibited widely in Albania and internationally, in countries such as Algeria, Yugoslavia, Austria, and Italy. He represented Albania in international biennales, including Alexandria and Turkey. He also held solo shows and received several awards for his graphic work.
