She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1983–1989) under Panagiotis Tetsis and Triantafyllos Patraskidis. She also took engraving courses with Thanasis Exarchopoulos. During her studies she was awarded a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (academic year 1984–1985). After graduation she worked as an art teacher in schools and Cultural Centers, and also professionally as a stage designer. Her work is figurative. Her themes are primarily landscape, and secondarily still life. She has a particular interest in seascapes, drawing inspiration especially from Lemnos, where she spends her summers. Her style draws on Expressionism. Her works, executed with acrylics as well as lighter media (watercolor, inks, etc.), are characterized by an abstract tendency and a fluid, gestural line. In printmaking, however, her style differs, emphasizing strong carving, clear line, and contrasts of depth. She has held solo exhibitions in Athens and other Greek cities, and participated in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad (Sofia, Belgrade, Cairo, Shanghai, Japan, etc.). In 2023 the Gallery of Contemporary Balkan Art in Kontias, Lemnos, organized her exhibition ‟Landscapes in Ink,” curated by Spyros Moschonas.

[10

post-479","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-10
["GET
