Athens, 1960
She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1980–1986) under Yiannis Moralis and Dimitris Mytaras. Between 1981–1982 she lived in Paris, studying European painting in major museums. After graduation, she taught in secondary education (1987–1988) and at the municipal workshops of Metamorfosi (1998–1999). She lives and works in Athens. A figurative painter, she focuses mainly on landscapes, depicting panoramic views of deserted terrains where sparse elements (e.g., trees) cultivate a deep sense of melancholy. She emphasizes the pure forms of trees, mountains, and occasionally urban scenery. Her use of rich color underlines her concern for the painterly texture of things. Her first solo exhibition was held at Anemos Art Gallery, Kifisia (1990). Since then, she has presented her work in various galleries and municipal spaces in Athens and other Greek cities. Notable shows include ‟Athens and Its Countryside: Then and Now,” Museum of the City of Athens – Vouros-Eutaxias Foundation (2013), ‟Painting,” Corinth Municipal Gallery (2016), among others. She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, such as ‟Young Greek Artists” (Fondation Hellénique, Paris, 1982), ‟Zosimadon Actions” and ‟Evergretism” (Ioannina, 2006), ‟Art Your Pet” (Sianti Gallery, Athens, 2022).
